A Fourth RONA store for Groupe LTM

General News
Lowe's Canada - Retail Lumber Yard

Lowe’s Canada, one of Canada’s leading home improvement retailers operating or servicing some 470 corporate and affiliated stores under different banners, congratulates Groupe LTM for acquiring the RONA store located at 655, rue Sainte-Marie in Marieville, which is now named RONA Matériaux Marieville. Already owner of three RONA stores in the Greater Montreal area, the group is thus ensuring the long-term viability of the local business—which includes a hardware store, a stationery store, and several other services—as well as the preservation of a dozen jobs.

“Groupe LTM is a leader in the management of local hardware stores, and our strength lies in our commitment to provide excellent service tailored to the needs of each community. We are pleased to build on our partnership with RONA in order to perpetuate the proximity service that the former owners offered for over 20 years, while leveraging our expertise to enhance the customer experience,” says Bruno Paradis, General Manager of Groupe LTM.

The 5,000 sq. ft. store offers Marieville customers a wide range of products in the hardware, paint, tools, and seasonal departments, in addition to featuring school and office supplies through the Papetrie ABCD store. To offer even more options to the local community, the new administration will also present an online shopping service in the coming months. Customers will thus have access to thousands of products at and be able to choose from in-store pickup or home delivery options.

“Succession is an issue faced by many local businesses. At RONA, we are proud to have dynamic and competent entrepreneurs within our dealer network, like the Groupe LTM owners, who have the willingness and tools to invest in existing stores to foster their long-term viability,” says Philippe Element, Vice-President, RONA Sales and Dealer Support at Lowe’s Canada. “We are pleased to pursue our partnership with Groupe LTM through this fourth RONA store, and thus contribute to the prosperity of the RONA store founded 23 years ago by Mr. Boulais and Mrs. Tremblay.”
