FBM Makes Acquisitions in the New York/New Jersey Markets

On January 3, 2022, Foundation Building Materials (“FBM”) announced the completion of two new acquisitions, with eight new locations in the New York/New Jersey markets. These new additions solidify FBM’s number one position as the acoustical ceilings market share leader in North America.

Hudson Interior Supply:

Four locations within the Greater New York/North New Jersey markets expands the FBM footprint in the Northeast, more specifically in the major market of New York City. Hudson Interior Supply is a long-standing distributor of drywall, steel framing, ceiling products, insulation, and complementary products and has been in business since 1947. Part of the acquisition also includes a large wholesale lumber distributor and two well established ACE hardware and tool businesses.

AIP is a 40+ year old service-minded business with a knowledgeable sales team as well as inside representatives and support staff. The company is a leader in the commercial building products space and serves as an exclusive provider of Armstrong Ceilings. Additionally, AIP brings a commercial door business which fits well with the overall FBM product offering.
