Obituary: Willie Richard “Dick” Gilman, Jr.

Willie Richard Gilman, Jr. “Dick”, 62, of Glen Allen passed away on Monday, January 31, 2022.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Willie and Rita. He is survived by his wife, Kim; daughters, Allison and Amanda; son, Scott; brother, Joel; and sister, Rita Lynn.

Dick graduated from Virginia Tech with a degree in Finance. He was President of Hanover Forest Products where he traded “lumba”. He will be remembered as the best husband, father, friend and Hokie fan. Dick never knew a stranger and was often times referred to as “the Mayor”.

Dick was a loved and loyal member of Berea Baptist Church where a visitation will be held at 10 a.m. on Saturday, February 5, 2022 with a Celebration of Life at 11 a.m. and interment in the church cemetery.
