LBM Advantage, one of the nation’s leading lumber and building materials cooperatives, recently announced they have hired Barry Brooks as member sales manager for the southwest region. Brooks has over twenty years of experience in the lumber and building industry, having served as a sales manager at Trex, and a regional sales manager and director at Huber Engineered Woods, among other key roles. Brooks has a proven record of accomplishment in new business development, strategy, operations, and client retention.

Brooks will be instrumental in working alongside Joe Burlison, vice president of southwest operations, to drive the cooperative’s strategic plan for continued expansion. He will serve members in the states of Texas, Oklahoma, New Mexico, and Kansas. Brooks states, “LBM Advantage has a rich history and a great story to tell. In a time of consolidation, I am pleased to work for a cooperative that can offer independent dealers the strong leverage to compete in today’s market.”

Joe Burlison states, “Barry Brooks’ commitment to teamwork and solid belief in helping dealers achieve their goals was one of the many reasons he was selected to help LBM Advantage lead our expansion efforts. His product knowledge and genuine love of the people in our industry will be an asset to our team and our members.”
