VT Industries, Inc. Sets Ribbon Cutting For $31.1 Million GA Plant Expansion
North America’s leading countertop manufacturer, VT Industries, Inc. (“VT”) has set an organizational ribbon cutting ceremony, open to the press, for July 19th, 2022 to mark the official opening of their $31.1 million plant expansion at the company’s Rome, GA countertop manufacturing facility.
Ground was broken in May of 2021 for the 40,000 square foot addition in an effort to increase U.S. manufacturing operations and fulfill customer demand for the company’s most recent product line, Stretta Countertops – coined to be ‘the next generation of laminate countertops.’
The expansion brings several new jobs to northwest Georgia, increasing on-site employment. “We strive to create a fun and engaging work atmosphere for our team members and we are excited to expand the VT family right here in northwest Georgia,” notes Director of Operations, Ryan Miller. The new positions include management, technicians, and operation roles.
The project, despite economic shortages and backlogs, has remained on schedule throughout its duration.
“The completion of this project serves as an incredible milestone for VT,” notes VT Industries’ Senior Vice President, Countertop Division, Ryan Clausen. “Since 1956, we have been committed to innovation and creating state-of-the-art manufacturing facilities to exceed our customers’ expectations. We are excited to fulfill demand for Stretta Countertops and do so in the incredible state of Georgia.”
