RONA inc., one of Canada’s leading home improvement retailers operating or servicing some 450 corporate and affiliated stores under different banners, is pleased to welcome Blake and Bret Drew, father and son, owners of two hardware stores in Southwest Ontario, to its network of RONA affiliated dealers. The two stores located in Comber and Tilbury, two nearby communities, will be renovated and will now offer lumber and building material products. To accomplish this, the RONA Tilbury store will put together a new outdoor lumber yard that will also serve the RONA Comber store.

RONA Announces New Stores in Tilbury and Comber

‘‘We are pleased to make this transition to a full-service home improvement centre with the RONA team. This enhancement to our offering is designed to meet the growing needs of construction, commercial, and home improvement professionals, as well as small-business owners in our communities,’’ says co-owner Bret Drew.

RONA Tilbury

Built in 1988, the store will undergo major renovations to its 11,125-square-foot retail space and add a 45,000-square-foot lumber yard. The store will continue to offer products in the paint, plumbing, seasonal, and outdoor categories, and will enhance its offerings with lumber and building materials. In addition, they will offer a range of appliances and an installation service for plumbing products. Three new jobs will be added to the current 12 jobs.

RONA Comber

This 3,170-square-foot store has been serving the small community of Comber for hardware, paint, plumbing, seasonal, and outdoor products needs since 1988. Now, thanks to the delivery channel from the Tilbury store, located only a few miles away, the store will be able to assist customers with their home improvement and construction projects. The store will maintain the current 7 jobs.

‘‘I am pleased that Bret and Blake have chosen RONA to continue their growth plan. With our consulting services and complete offering, our network is the best option to support their vision and their desire to offer outstanding customer service,’’ added Philippe Element, Vice-President, RONA Dealer Sales and Support.
