North Atlantic Corp Announces Acquisition of Central Woodwork and CenWood Appliance

General News

North Atlantic Corp (“NAC”) announced that it has acquired Central Woodwork and CenWood Appliance (“Central”), a Tennessee-based, family-owned and operated millwork and appliance company located in Nashville and Memphis, TN. Central, established in 1945, is a third-generation family business currently owned by brothers Mark and Pat Schaefer. The Schaefer’s will stay involved in strategic leadership positions for a number of years and will retain an ownership stake, while Central will be operated by its existing team of General Managers, Presidents and Vice Presidents.

“Central is a well-run business similar in size and operations to NAC. Like NAC, it is a highly effective company with a great team,” said Peter Humphrey, President of NAC. “We are grateful to continue the Schaefer family legacy and the culture they have built over 73 years. NAC and Central share similarities in product mix and technology that will allow us to create a strong platform for growth moving forward. Central will continue to be operated by its General Managers, and we look forward to collaborating on strategic projects and best practices over time.”
