Masonite International Corporation Names Dan Shirk as Chief Information Officer

Masonite International Corporation (“Masonite”) announced the appointment of Dan Shirk as Senior Vice President and Chief Information Officer, effective January 2, 2019.

Dan joins Masonite with over 25 years of IT, operations and general management experience. Most recently, he was Vice President, Information Systems and Project Management Office for Ascena Retail Group, a clothing retailer with approximately $7 billion in annual sales. Before joining Ascena, Dan held leadership roles at Boral Stone Products and Owens Corning. As President of Boral Stone Products, Dan had general management accountability for the cultured stone business. During his nine-year career with Owens Corning, Dan held a variety of roles, including leading the Company’s IT Solutions Delivery and developing and deploying advanced process-control programs and manufacturing technology for the enterprise.

Dan spent the first decade of his career with Ford Motor Company where he held a variety of engineering and production roles of increasing responsibility. He earned his Bachelor of Science in Welding Engineering from The Ohio State University and has completed leadership development programs through Harvard University and Ford’s Lean Learning Academy.
