Professional Builders Supply Welcomes John Merritt, President – Multifamily Division

Professional Builders Supply (“PBS”) recently hired John Merritt as President of our Multifamily Division. Prior to joining PBS, John was the Managing Director of CBC Capital, where he led Capitol Broadcasting Company’s investment in PBS in 2017. John has served on the Board of PBS since 2017 and worked closely with the PBS management team before joining the company in 2019. John is responsible for all multifamily activities across PBS’s markets.

John Merritt

Prior to joining CBC, John was an owner/operator of Envirolink, Inc. where he helped grow Envirolink into the largest provider of water and sewer Public/Private Partnerships in North Carolina. John began his career developing real estate in North Carolina and Virginia.

John graduated from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill and recently completed a term serving on the University’s Board of Visitors. John has been active in numerous community organizations including having served on the Executive Committee of the Triangle Urban Land Institute and on the Capstone Bank Advisory Board. John and his wife, Elizabeth, have three sons and live in Raleigh.
