Marcus Lumber Expands Services into Electrical Contracting Business
Marcus Lumber has expanded into the full service electrical contracting business. We think this new division compliments our existing full-service Plumbing and HVAC business and fills a local community need for these services.
Now in our 99th year of business, Marcus Lumber’s history illustrates many examples of finding ways to add value to the projects it supplies. By ways of performing service work in plumbing and heating, floor covering, and authorized Andersen window repairs, Marcus Lumber is well known for its service work. Jim Leavitt of Marcus Lumber notes “The latest addition of the electrical department will serve our customers with the same fast and reliable service our customers have come to expect from us for many years.”
At the same time, Marcus Lumber is proud to welcome Derek Schlinz as our first full-time electrical service technician. Derek holds a degree from Northwest Iowa Community College in Sheldon and brings experience in the field by serving the local communities for many prior years. Derek grew up outside Cleghorn and currently resides in Remsen with his young family.
The Marcus Lumber electrical division will serve customers through new residential and commercial wiring, new equipment and fixture installation, and full-service electrical repairs. “From the projects we’ve worked on in the past we felt there was a real need for these local services. We are excited to have Derek and all his talent on board. We believe he will be a great fit to our team.” Grant Leavitt of Marcus Lumber said.
