Westlake Hardware Announces New Ace Hardware in Mountain View, California

A new Ace Hardware store in Mountain View Calif. officially opened September 25, 2019. The store is in the former Orchard Supply Hardware location at 2555 Charleston Road. A grand opening is scheduled for October 18-20, 2019.

The store is anticipated to eventually employ approximately 50 people from the area. General Manager Chris Gueriero is among the many familiar faces customers will recognize from when the store was Orchard Supply Hardware. “We’re looking forward to becoming a supportive, active, and helpful part of the Mountain View community,” he said.

Gueriero added, “We are excited that Mountain View consumers will again have a neighborhood hardware store option. The store will feature an exciting blend of familiar and new products. But more importantly, our neighbors will see firsthand how we live the Ace Helpful Promise every day by delivering reliable service, helpful advice, and products to help customers get their projects done right.”

The 34,462 sq. ft. store will sell traditional hardware products such as fasteners, tools, plumbing and electrical supplies. In addition to selling Carhartt and Dickies apparel, the store will feature several “store-in-a-store” concepts and departments:

– The Garden Center will feature a full range of seasonal live goods and gardening supplies, as well as a wide assortment of patio furniture and other outdoor living products.

– The Backyard BBQ department will feature a full range of grills and BBQ accessories from such leading brands as Weber, Traeger, and Big Green Egg.

– In the Outdoor Power Equipment department, the store will sell a full range of gas-, electric-, and battery-powered blowers, chain saws, mowers, and string trimmers from manufacturers such as Stihl, EGO, Craftsman, and Toro.

– The Tool Shop will feature power and hand tools from leading brands like Milwaukee, DeWalt, Craftsman, and Makita.

– The Paint Studio will feature a wide range of paints and painting supplies from Benjamin Moore, Magnolia Home, Clark + Kensington, Purdy, and Kilz.

– Kitchen Essentials will offer the latest kitchen gadgets and tools, trendy cookware from brands like Starfrit, specialty coffee items from brands including Bodum, eco-friendly bowls and cutting boards from EcoSmart, sparkling water makers and accessories from SodaStream, as well as specialty foods from local companies.

– A Hallmark Gold Crown department will carry plenty of items customers are accustomed to finding in stand-alone Gold Crown store, such as giftwrap, greeting cards, Keepsake Ornaments, and home décor items.
