Hunter Douglas Divests Gardinia to Partner

Hunter Douglas, the world market leader in window coverings (“Luxaflex®”) and a major manufacturer of architectural products, has sold its 74% share in Gardinia to a company affiliated with Reinhard and Sven Heidemann, long-time managers and a partner in Gardinia. Terms were not disclosed.

Gardinia, based in Isny, Germany, is the leading distributor of packaged window coverings and curtain tracks to DIY chains in Germany under its well-known “Gardinia” brand. Gardinia has its own assembly operations in Germany and Poland. The business had 2018 gross sales of about EUR 100 million and 206 employees.
