Structurlam Announces Organizational Transformation

General News

We are excited to announce an update to our organizational leadership with the addition of three new executive team members – each of which will bolster the company’s ability to maintain its leadership position through the increase in demand for mass timber across North America, while keeping Structurlam poised for growth.

Our people are at the core of Structurlam’s growth. For over five decades, the Structurlam team has embodied an unrelenting passion for mass timber and a commitment to delivering projects that provide people with inspiring places to live, work, and play.

Continuing in this spirit, these changes to our executive team will, simply put, improve Structurlam’s ability to act faster. It will allow us to scale while continuing to execute, without compromise, on our vision to be a customer-driven organization, safely delivering quality products, on time, to our construction and industrial customers.

We are pleased to announce that Paul Sehn has been appointed to the role of Senior Vice President, Sales and Marketing. With over 30 years of results-based experience in the North American engineered wood products industry, in both construction and industrial verticals, Paul brings a comprehensive understanding of strategic manufacturing, product, and market development to achieve sustainable results.

Michael Darby has been appointed to the role of Chief Financial Officer, and will oversee all fiduciary, finance, and administrative functions. With over 25 years’ experience in senior financial management in Canada, the US, and internationally, Michael brings a skillset in finance team leadership and mentorship, financial management, administration and budgeting, and information systems implementation.

Finally, we are pleased to announce the appointment of Greg Johnston to the role of Senior Vice President, Manufacturing and Operations. Greg has deep experience in both lumber and OSB manufacturing, and substantial skills in developing safety improvement plans and quality management systems. He is proficient in managing capital projects from conception to execution, with prior experience working with both startups and established operations. Greg will oversee all manufacturing operations and focus on creating a culture of continuous improvement.

Today’s announcement is made with excitement and intent. Not only is Structurlam committed to delivering the best mass timber solutions in the industry, but we plan on being the best mass timber company to do business with in North America.

In industrial markets, our Crosslam CLT ground protection matting products provide safe and easy access to work sites. Combined with the rapid growth of Crosslam CLT and GlulamPlus mass timber building products in the construction industry, this brings significance to the work we do here at Structurlam.

As the mass timber industry continues to experience momentum, Structurlam will continue to grow – and for that, we are extremely excited about what the future holds.

Sincerely,

Hardy Wentzel
