Fishers Ace Hardware Undergoing Ownership Transition

General News

Doug Money, owner of Fishers Ace Hardware, announced that he has entered into an agreement to sell the store to Great Lakes Ace Hardware, a Michigan based chain of Ace Hardware stores. The sale will be finalized in late March. Doug has operated the hardware store since 2007 and the store will remain an Ace Hardware store once the sale is finalized.

“We have been honored to serve Fishers and the surrounding community for over 13 years. We have worked together with our team to ensure that Ace Hardware supports and serves the community, and we are proud of those accomplishments,” says Doug. “I am retiring and pleased to be passing ownership over to Great Lakes Ace Hardware as their excellent reputation, shared values, and focus on continuity assures us that our team and community will continue to be well served.”

According to Mark Vandenberg, President of Great Lakes Ace, “We are committed to retaining the associates who are familiar faces to the Fishers customers and the surrounding communities. There will be a transition to some new and exciting products including nationally recognized brands. However, customers should expect to experience the same exceptional service to which they have been accustomed.”

“We love serving communities in Michigan and Ohio and look forward to continuing Doug’s tradition of customer service and community involvement with our first store in Indiana,” says Mark. “Our company vision is to Improve Lives and Communities and we do that by going above and beyond to serve our customers. In a time when customers have more options than ever before, this is the bedrock fueling our growth.”
