Pella Corporation Announces New Executive Hires

General News

Pella Corporation announced two key additions to the leadership team: Joher Akolawala and John Bollman. Akolawala will join Pella as the Senior Vice President (“SVP”) and Chief Financial Officer (“CFO”) and will begin his new role on March 10. Bollman was named Chief Human Resources Officer (“CHRO”) for the company and started working in that capacity in December 2019.

Joher Akolawala

“Joher is an accomplished professional with a demonstrated ability to build effective teams that drive strong results. He is a great addition to our leadership team with experience in building strong consumer brands as well as with mergers and acquisitions as we look to drive significant profitable growth in 2020 and beyond,” said Tim Yaggi, President and Chief Executive Officer of Pella Corporation. “We are excited to welcome Joher to Pella and look forward to a seamless transition for our organization.”

Akolawala most recently served as Senior Vice President and Chief Financial Officer for Walgreens Boots Alliance international business division. Prior to that role, Akolawala spent five years at Mondelez International where he was SVP of Finance and SVP and Chief Information Officer. Akolawala also worked at Kraft Foods Group for 23 years, serving the organization in key financial roles. He holds a Master of Business Administration degree from the University of South Carolina and a Bachelor of Engineering with Honors from the University of Poona in India.

John Bollman

John Bollman was named Chief Human Resources Officer in late 2019. He has been working alongside Karin Peterson, who has held the role for 21 years and will be retiring after 33 years of service to Pella Corporation.

Bollman was most previously Senior Vice President and Chief Human Resources Officer at Cooper Tire and Rubber Company. Prior to that, he was Chief Human Resources Officer at Sequa Corporation and Vice President of Human Resources at Whirlpool Corporation. He holds a JD degree from Loyola University and a Bachelor of Arts from Miami University. “John is a great fit for our organization. He respects Pella’s strong brand, our people-focused culture and why Pella has consistently been recognized as a great place to work,” states Yaggi. “He has experience in companies larger than Pella and understands what it will take to accomplish our goals in the coming years.”
