Obituary: John Maurice Kirkpatrick
John Maurice Kirkpatrick (February 10, 1948), 72, lifetime resident of Jasper, passed away April 12, 2020.
John was a beloved father, a loyal friend and an avid sports fan. He loved his children and the Auburn Tigers. He was a 1966 graduate of Walker County High School and a 1970 graduate of Auburn University. John carried on his family business, J&K Lumber and Supply Company Inc., which was in operation for more than 60 years. He will be dearly missed.
John was preceded in death by his parents, Maurice Lacy Kirkpatrick and Marjorie Elizabeth Kirkpatrick.
He is survived by his children, Jay Kirkpatrick (Jill), Stacy Smothers (Jim) and Cooper Kirkpatrick; Brenda Kirkpatrick, mother to Jay and Stacy; and granddaughter, Riley Banks.
Due to current events, the family will hold a private service.
