CNRG Adds New Store in West Helena, Arkansas

General News

Walter Morris, owner and operator of H&M Lumber in West Helena, Ark., has agreed to sell his business and operating assets to Central Network Retail Group, LLC (“CNRG”), a multi-format, multi-brand retailer currently operating 109 hardware stores, home centers and lumber yards in 15 states.

“I am excited about the future of this store with CNRG and Home Hardware Center serving east Arkansas and West Mississippi,” Morris said. “Home Hardware Center and H&M are a great fit. We both have the same ideas and standards when it comes to how we treat our employees and customers, the same standards that the Hornor and Morris families have valued since my father and uncles started the business in 1961. I am comfortable knowing this business will continue to successfully support the community for many more years.”

H&M Lumber will be rebranded and operate as part of CNRG’s Home Hardware Center brand. This is the 24th store in the Home Hardware Center brand, which is headquartered in Natchez, Miss., and operates stores in five states. The West Helena store currently offers a full assortment of building materials, hardware, plumbing, electrical, and paint as well as a drive-through lumber yard.

“H&M has built a great business with an outstanding team. We are proud to have the opportunity to welcome this location and all of the team members in West Helena to Home Hardware,” said Raymond White, CNRG senior vice president of operations.

“CNRG is always seeking growth opportunities and we are excited to have our first store in Arkansas,” said John Sieggreen, CNRG president. “Home Hardware Center is our oldest and one of our top-performing brands; Home Hardware Center will benefit from partnering with a first-class operation like H&M.”
