Westlake Ace Hardware to Open New Store in Lenexa, Kansas

Westlake Ace Hardware announced it has signed a lease to open a new store at 101st Street and Woodland Road in Lenexa, Kan. To be built at the corner of Woodland and K-10 Highway (in the Falcon Plaza retail development), the store will be Westlake’s 22nd location in the Kansas City metro area.

“The Kansas City metro area is our home, so the opening of a new store here is always exciting for us,” said Joe Jeffries, president and CEO of Westlake Ace Hardware. “Our decision to open another store in Lenexa says a lot about the growth and vibrancy of the community, as well as the upward trajectory of the Westlake brand. Not only will we be offering employment opportunities in the future, we will soon show our new customers how we live the Ace Helpful Promise every day by delivering reliable service, helpful advice, and products to help them get their projects done right.”

Westlake Ace Hardware’s other Lenexa location is at 15225 W. 87th Parkway.

Slated to open late summer of 2021, the 15,000 square foot store will sell traditional hardware products such as lawn and garden supplies, fasteners, tools, plumbing, and electrical supplies. It will also feature several special departments and store-within-a-store concepts, including:

  • The Backyard BBQ department will feature a full range of grills and BBQ accessories from such leading brands as Weber and Traeger.
  • The Outdoor Power Equipment department will sell a full range of gas-, electric-, and battery-powered blowers, chain saws, mowers, and string trimmers from manufacturers such as Stihl, EGO, Craftsman, and Toro.
  • The Paint Studio will feature a wide range of paints and painting supplies from Benjamin Moore, Magnolia Home, Clark + Kensington, Purdy, and Kilz.
  • Pet Supply will carry an extensive array of pet food, toys, grooming products, health supplies, pre-packed and bulk treats. Featured premium brands will include Blue Buffalo, Science Diet, Nutro, Taste of The Wild, and Merrick.
