Jesse Darrell “Bub” Brady, 74, of Bennett, died Saturday, May 30, 2020 at Moses H. Cone Memorial Hospital in Greensboro.

Private Family Funeral Service, 3:00 PM, Tuesday, June 2, 2020, at Fall Creek Baptist Church, Bennett.

Officiating, Pastor Edwin Moore, Pastor Mike Wilkie.

Burial will follow in the church cemetery.

Jesse was born in Randolph County at home and graduated from Bennett High School in 1964. During high school, he worked at Ramseur Interlock where he continued until 1965 and then went to work for his father at his sawmill (which was started in 1938.) In 1976 Jesse became co-owner of Brady Lumber Company in Coleridge and continued there for thirty-six years. After retirement he went to work for the City of Asheboro ABC store. He was a member of Fall Creek Baptist Church. Jesse was preceded in death by his parents, Russell Homer and Lucy Gatlin Brady, brothers, Vernon Brady, and Raeford Brady.

Survivors: wife, Tina Phillips Brady, of the home, son, Rodney B. Brady and wife, Jamie, of Bear Creek, grandchildren, Jordan Brady, of Greensboro, James Aaron Brady, of Bear Creek, sisters, Linda Faye Wright and husband, Donny, of Asheboro, Dianne Pierce and husband, Darrell, of Seagrove, Grace Ritter, of Asheboro, Kaye Durham and husband, Jimmy, of Asheboro, brothers, Odell Brady and wife, Carolyn, of Ramseur, Roland “Butch” Brady and wife, Joanne, of Asheboro, Ronnie Brady, of Bennett, Jerry Brady, of Seagrove, Kenny Brady and wife, Sandra, of Ramseur, sister-in-laws, Ruby Brady and Eva Brady, both of Asheboro, twenty nieces and nephews, thirty-nine great nieces and nephews, and eight great-great nieces and nephews.

The body will lie in state at Loflin Funeral Home from 12 Noon to 5 PM on Monday, June 1. The family will receive friends at the residence.
