Report: Fire at Woodline Sawmills in Onamia

According to local news reports Woodline Sawmills, Inc. (HQ: Onamia, MN), had a fire break out at their facility.

Message Media reports that a fire erupted in the evening of Wednesday, June 17, 2020. Woodline Sawmills owner Katie Vivant stated “three buildings had been damaged. One hoop structure was completely destroyed with the two adjacent buildings requiring substantial repairs.”

Vivant added that “most of the mills’ machinery itself remained undamaged and that the fire had caused primarily structural damage. There were several components of the site’s processing system that would need to be replaced. No person was injured as a result from the fire.”

Furthermore, she stated that “partial operations would be possible, but it would require significant adjustments.”
