Benny Farrell McBride, Sr., age 67, died Friday, October 2, 2020, at Randolph Hospice House in Asheboro.

Benny was born in Randolph County on September 15, 1953 to John and Dorothy Bell Luck McBride. He was a supervisor with McBride Lumber Company.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his son, Benny Farrell “Benjy” McBride, Jr.

He is survived by his wife, Kathy McBride, of the home; son, John McBride and girlfriend, Jamie Allen of Star; sister, Brenda Trogdon of Star; brothers, LeRoy McBride and wife, Betty of Star and Ronnie McBride and wife, Jeanette of Asheboro; grandchildren, Ben McBride, Jonathan McBride, Alex Walters, Austin McBride, Betty McBride, and Tristan Mashburn.

His body will lie in state from 1:00 – 5:00 p.m., Saturday, October 3, and from 8:00 a.m. – 12:30 p.m., Sunday, October 4, at Phillips Funeral Home.

A graveside service will be held at 2:00 p.m., Sunday, October 4, at White Oak Springs Primitive Baptist Church Cemetery with the Rev. Hubert McLeod officiating.
