Marion Turner Hubbard passed away on December 29, 2020.

She was born February 12, 1929 in Guilford County to the late Thomas and Elizabeth Turner. She attended Greensboro Senior High School, St. Mary’s Junior College and graduated from the University of North Carolina, Chapel Hill where she was a member of the Delta Delta Delta sorority.

After graduation, Marion worked for the Greensboro Housing Authority for several years. She was president of A.P. Hubbard Wholesale Lumber Corp. from 1997-2017. She was a member of Holy Trinity Episcopal Church, The Colonial Dames of North Carolina, Daughters of the American Revolution, sustaining member of Greensboro Junior League, Greensboro Rotary Club and Greensboro Country Club.

She had a great zest for life and tremendous love for her family and many friends; she will be immeasurably missed by all.

Marion is survived by her younger brother, Henry Turner(Jane) of Winston-Salem; her daughters, Elizabeth Hubbard of Tucsan, Arizona and Ada Cosby(Edward) of Manakin-Sabot, VA.; her grandchildren Marion Kastenbaum (Jon) of Manakin-Sabot, VA., Annie Gottwald (Bruce) of Denver, Colorado and Ainslie Cosby of Austin, Texas; and one great-grandchild Ada Kastenbaum.

Marion is preceded in death by her parents, her husband Ainslie Perrow Hubbard and her older brother Thomas Turner III (Sylvia). She is also preceded in death by her special friend, Ed Wrenn.

The memorial service will be held at a later date at Holy Trinity Episcopal Church. Marion will be placed in the columbarium next to her husband.
