Report: Large Fire at Aspen Planers Ltd.
According to local news reports, Aspen Planers Ltd. (HQ: Merritt, BC), had a fire erupt at their site this week.
The Merritt Herald reports that early in the morning of Monday February 22, 2021, a “significant” fire erupted at the sawmill. Local Fire Chief Dave Thomkinson noted the “fire has involved both the mill structure and chip bins”.
