Lowe’s Canada: New RONA Store Coming to Dryden, Ontario

General News

Lowe’s Canada, one of Canada’s leading home improvement retailers operating or servicing some 470 corporate and affiliated stores under different banners, congratulates Lori and Marc Palsson on the acquisition of their third home improvement centre located at 329 Government Street in Dryden, Ontario. After 40 years of serving the Dryden community, the business will receive a facelift in the coming weeks. In addition to being converted to the RONA banner, the store will undergo renovations to increase its sales area by over 5,000 sq. ft. to house a new 3,300-sq. ft. seasonal area as well as a new 2,500-sq. ft. Kitchen, Bath & Appliance Centre, which were previously used as storage space. The process, which should take five to six weeks, will represent a local investment of approximately $1 million and is expected to create 15 new jobs in the community.

“The acquisition of the Dryden store is an exciting new step in our plan to expand our business and bring our know-how to more Canadian communities. This store is in an ideal location and counts on a team of dedicated and experienced associates that we look forward to working with for years to come,” declared Marc Palsson, Owner and President of RONA Dryden. “Over the coming weeks, we will be adding some 5,000 new products to the store’s offering, bringing in new brands and services, including a brand-new kitchen and bath centre adjacent to our current retail area—complete with a selection of appliances. Our goal is to provide a true one-stop-shop for residents of Dryden and the surrounding neighbourhoods looking to create their dream home.”

The RONA Dryden store has LBM storage facilities, which includes a 3,500-sq. ft. Autostack system, as well as two other LBM storage facilities totalling 7,500 sq. ft. and a 3-acre outdoor lumber yard to meet the needs of local DIYers and Pros alike. Over the next few months, the Palssons will integrate new features to the store’s offering, including online shopping at rona.ca, where customers will have access to a virtually endless aisle at the tip of their fingers.

“Lori and Marc are driven entrepreneurs who are passionate about helping people, be it helping their customers to make their projects a reality or supporting their community. And it shows in the care that they put into everything they do,” explained Philippe Element, Vice-President, Sales and Affiliated Dealer Support. “We are thrilled to be working with the Palssons to bring the RONA value proposition to even more Canadians and we look forward to partnering with them on future business expansion projects.”
