Green Diamond Appoints New Vice President & General Manager For Washington Operations

General News

Green Diamond Resource Company officials recently announced the promotion of Brian Sayler to vice president and general manager – Northwest Operations, based in Shelton, Wash. Sayler will assume responsibility for all aspects of the company’s timberlands operations in Western Washington, as well as its Columbia Basin Timberlands in northeast Oregon and southeast Washington. He replaces Blayde Fry, who retired.

Sayler is a native of Grays Harbor County, Washington, and graduated from Oregon State University with a BS in forest engineering before going to work for Willamette Industries in 2000. He was hired at Green Diamond’s Northwest Operations as a road engineer in 2007 and advanced in the company, becoming roads and logging operations manager in 2016. He obtained his MBA from St. Martin’s University in 2012. In 2018, Sayler became Gulf Area manager in the company’s subsidiary, Green Diamond Management Company, at the startup of that enterprise. He was based in Meridian, Miss.

“Brian’s deep experience, focus on teamwork and dedication to building and maintaining a safety culture will continue to be great assets to Green Diamond as he steps into this new leadership role,” said Neal Ewald, senior vice president and chief operating officer, to whom Sayler now reports.
