Hunter Douglas Acquires 74% of Droma-Sunshade Experts

Hunter Douglas, the world market leader in window coverings (Luxaflex®) and a major manufacturer of architectural products, has entered into an agreement to acquire 74% of Droma-Sunshade Experts, a highly regarded Polish assembler of made-to-measure exterior sunscreens, shutters, and awnings, with a fast-growing sales presence in Western Europe.

Droma-Sunshade Experts, based in Zabrze, Poland, expects 2021 sales to be about EUR 63 million.

The founders of Droma-Sunshade Experts will remain minority shareholders, and the company will continue to operate independently, under present management.

The completion is subject to regulatory approval.

The acquisition will improve Hunter Douglas Europe as a supplier of exterior window coverings.

Terms were not disclosed.
