Weekes Announces Retirement of Tom Le Vere

Tom Le Vere, President of Weekes Forest Products, a wholly owned subsidiary of MacArthur Company announced his plans to retire from the company effective December 31, 2022. Mr. Le Vere began his lumber and building materials career in Boulder, CO in March 1979 with Wickes Lumber and has been active as a wholesale distributor since 1995. In 2010 Tom joined Weekes Forest Products and has served as the company’s President since 2014.

My success is attributable to the talented people I’m surrounded by every day, and I’m confident that the company will continue to thrive and rise to even greater heights in the years to come. I’d also like to thank Steve Weekes and Barrett Moen for the opportunity they gave me, as well as thank the talented team of men and women that work very hard each day to make Weekes and Snavely Forest Products the great companies they are today.”

In related announcements Barrett Moen, CEO of MacArthur Company announced that Scott Gardner will become President of Weekes Forest Products effective January 1, 2023. Mr. Gardner has held a variety of positions while at Weekes including his current position of Vice President, Distribution. “For the past twelve years, Scott has worked closely with Tom and has played an integral role in the company’s success. I’m thrilled to see Scott take the helm and look forward to seeing him put his own mark on Weekes, said Mr. Moen.”

Mr. Moen also announced that Clark Spitzer is being promoted to President of Snavely Forest Products effective January 1, 2023. Snavely is a wholly owned subsidiary of MacArthur Company. Snavely was acquired by MacArthur in February 2018. Mr. Spitzer has been with Snavely since 1995 having previously worked for Louisiana Pacific Corp and has held a variety of positions within Snavely most recently being Chief Operating Officer (“COO”). “Clark assumed the leadership reins at Snavely immediately after we bought the company and has done an outstanding job of guiding Snavely through a very challenging business climate.”

Mr. Moen congratulated and thanked Mr. Le Vere on his successful career and years of service to The Company and industry. “We wish Tom and his wife Debbie health and happiness as they transition into the next chapter of their lives together.” He goes on to say, “Scott Gardner and Clark Spitzer have shown themselves to be exceptional leaders who have proven themselves ready to meet tomorrow’s business challenges and lead Weekes and Snavely to new levels of prosperity and success. Congratulations to both Clark and Scott on their well-deserved promotions”.
