Structurlam Names Matthew Karmel CEO

Structurlam Mass Timber Corporation, the leading mass timber manufacturer in North America, today announced that Matthew Karmel has been named CEO, effective immediately. Karmel brings to Structurlam more than 20 years of experience in C-suite leadership roles in industrial and manufacturing companies, including multinational organizations with $1.6B in annual revenues and 2,300 employees.

Prior to joining Structurlam, Karmel served as the CEO of Crenlo Engineered Cabs. Previously, he led other companies in North America and Europe in a broad range of industries, including Klenk Holz AG, the largest saw-mills group in Germany, as the company’s CEO & Chairman. Matthew earned a Ph.D. in Mechanical and Aeronautical Engineering from Princeton University and completed a general-management executive program at INSEAD Business School in France.
