Perrone and Barrett Assume New Director Roles at McCoy’s Building Supply
McCoy’s Building Supply recently announced that Rob Perrone had been promoted to Director of Merchandising – Hardlines. Lisa Barrett will be the Director of Store Planning & Visual Merchandising. The appointments come alongside the company’s continued growth and expansion.
“I’ve spent my entire career at McCoy’s working in our stores. It’s exciting to have a chance to develop our product selection with a focus on meeting our customers’ needs while understanding market trends,” said Perrone, a 35-year McCoy’s veteran. He has served in a wide variety of roles from working in the yard to assisting customers on the sales floor before moving into management. He was a store manager for 26 years and most recently lead the team at McCoy’s Dripping Springs, TX location. “I’m looking forward to developing deeper relationships with members of our vendor community while supporting our stores and other departments,” said Perrone.
As a legacy company in a fast-changing landscape, store remodels at McCoy’s Building Supply are a key part of its retail growth strategy. The company is known for their easy-in, easy-out store designs and enhancing that physical experience is a key part of their retail growth strategy.
“It is important now more than ever, to set up our stores with the products and layouts they need to engage with our customers for a successful shopping experience,” said Lisa Barrett, who has been at McCoy’s for 29 years. “Our enhanced store remodel strategy is also focused on adding products based upon customer demographics to give our shoppers the best solutions available.”
“Rob’s years of operational experience, his leadership, and his passion for merchandising make him the perfect person for his new role. I am also so excited for Lisa to lead our company in an area that she has so much expertise in,” said Waylon Walker, Senior Vice President – Operations & Merchandising. “It’s an honor to have McCoy’s veterans leading these new teams in ways that will help us serve our customers even better.”
