Viewrail Acquires Simmons Stairways

Viewrail has recently signed an agreement to acquire Simmons Stairways, Inc., located in Northern California. Simmons Stairways, Inc, is a premier stairway manufacturer in California. They specialize in custom curved hardwood stairs and handrails. The company has been in the stairs and railing business for more than three decades.

Trent Jacobs is Viewrail’s Director of California Business Development. Per the agreement, Jacobs will run the company until the end of the year – at which time all new business will transfer to Viewrail.

“It seemed like a good fit,” said Howard Simmons, current owner of Simmons Stairways, Inc. “Viewrail has the product and technology – and I am in a great market with years of experience on the West Coast.”

“This will help us tremendously as we work towards having a local presence in regions all over the country, so that our lead times and installation options are universal to every customer’s experience,” said Morris.

Both owners have dedicated themselves to building companies that focus on the customer and their needs.

“When I first met Len a few years back at the Las Vegas International Builders Show, I knew that what he was doing would revolutionize the building industry,” said Simmons, “I am glad to be a part of that change before my working years come to an end.”
