Signs two new North America distributors

Accsys announced it has signed Sergio Munhoz as North American Sales Director as well as bolstering its distribution partners across the United States.

With a background in the wood coatings industry, Sergio joins from AkzoNobel where he led commercial teams across both North and South America. He brings a strong track record in building high performance teams and driving double digit sales growth. Prior to AkzoNobel he worked for Sherwin Williams, where he led divisional sales teams. Sergio holds a degree in international business and a Master’s degree in strategic sales.

In preparation for the expected start-up of Accoya production in mid 2024, Accsys has expanded its commercial team and established an operational sales team at the Accoya USA factory office in Kingsport Tennessee, which will handle customer service for N. America.  

Sergio’s appointment comes as Accsys signs two new distributors in N. America, expanding the geographic distribution for its Accoya, Tricoya and Accoya Color products across the region:

  • Keim, based in Charm, Ohio. Founded in 1911 and with 600 employees, Keim is a fourth-generation family business providing home, building, and woodworking supplies to professionals. The company has extensive wood remanufacturing facilities and extensive inventory of domestic and imported lumber to supply their customer base across Ohio, Pennsylvania, Kentucky and West Virginia.
  • Saroyan Hardwoods in California. Founded in 1947 on three principles-quality, integrity and personal service – Saroyan now has over 25,000 clients, 200 employees, and three service facilities across California.  In addition, Saroyan has extensive milling & manufacturing capabilities out of its two production plants located in Huntington Park, California & Glasgow, Kentucky.   This fourth generation family business prides itself on manufacturing product to the highest industry standards while also fulfilling the toughest material requests with the largest kiln dried hardwood lumber inventory West of the Mississippi.
