Kamps Pallets, the leading national pallet manufacturer and recycler, is proud to announce that Matt Klein, Sales Representative, has been elected to the Board of Directors for the Pellets Fuel Institute (PFI). This appointment recognizes Klein’s expertise and dedication to sustainable practices within the supply chain and the wood pellet industry. Klein is a sales representative for Kamps and Easy Heat: Wood Fuel Pellets, Kamps’ consumer-facing brand of wood pellets. Due to this combined experience, Klein will sustain the unique perspective Kamps provides to the institute as Billy Hoskins, VP of National Sales (Kamps and Easy Heat), completes his term as board member and board chair.

Klein’s election to the PFI Board further solidifies his reputation as a rising leader in the industry. Last year, he was recognized as a “Pros to Know Rising Star” by Supply & Demand Chain Executive magazine, an award that highlights young professionals (39 and under) whose achievements and vision are shaping the supply chain network. Klein has also been involved in advocating on behalf of the wood pellet industry in Washington, D.C.; participating in a strategic fly-in alongside a dozen other PFI member representatives to discuss PFI’s regulatory objectives with members of congress.

“We are incredibly proud of Matt’s appointment to the PFI Board,” said Billy Hoskins, Kamps VP of National Sales and former PFI board chair. “His commitment to innovation and sustainability, particularly within our Easy Heat wood pellets business unit, has consistently brought significant value to our customers and our company. This new role is a testament to his expertise and will undoubtedly benefit the broader wood pellet industry.”

“I’m honored to represent Kamps and Easy Heat on the PFI Board and contribute to the industry’s continued growth,” said Klein, “As demand for sustainable solutions accelerates, I’m excited to collaborate with fellow leaders to advance innovative uses for wood residuals and help position wood pellets as a critical part of a greener supply chain.” As a national and regional sales representative, Klein plays a crucial role in optimizing supply chains for a diverse range of customers, from local businesses to Fortune 500 organizations. His unique perspective on sustainability, gained through his experience with Kamps’ wood pellets business, allows him to help divisions integrate profitable and sustainable outlets for wood waste and residuals – ultimately leading to greener supply chains for Kamps’ broader customer base.
