Hope to Dream Delivers Sweet Dreams to 100 Families with Family Promise of San Joaquin County

Hope to Dream, a 501c3 organization, donated 100 complete bed sets to Family Promise of San Joaquin County, providing essential sleep solutions for families experiencing homelessness or housing instability in California’s Central Valley. The bed sets will be distributed to families as they move into permanent housing through Family Promise’s programs, ensuring they have essential furniture to start fresh in their new homes.

Each bed set includes a twin mattress, bed frame, bedding and pillow, ensuring that children have a comfortable, safe place to rest as their families work toward stable housing. Each bed set represents more than just furniture – it’s a foundation for better sleep, improved health, and increased stability for families during challenging times.

Family Promise of San Joaquin County works tirelessly to help homeless and low-income families achieve sustainable independence. The organization provides shelter, meals, case management, and support services to families with children throughout San Joaquin County.

Jory Gwasdoff, Executive Director at Family Promise of San Joaquin County, emphasized the impact of the donation: “For families moving from homelessness into permanent housing, the gift of a bed means comfort, stability, and dignity from the very first night in their new home. For children, it’s more than furniture—it’s a place to rest, dream, and feel safe. Thanks to Hope to Dream, 100 children in our community will not only have a roof over their heads but the foundation to truly begin rebuilding their lives.”

Established in 2010, Hope to Dream has been dedicated to the mission of providing every child with a good night’s sleep. Since inception, more than 190,000 children have received a brand-new bed. By providing these essential sleep resources, Hope to Dream aims to set children on the path to a healthier and more productive life.  The program continues to grow through a portion of proceeds from every mattress purchase at participating Ashley retail locations being donated to Hope to Dream.
