Miller Wholesale Lumber President and CFO Announce Retirement

General News

After many incredible years building and leading Miller Wholesale Lumber Company together, the time has come for us to turn the page on a new chapter—we will be officially retiring from our roles as President and CFO of the company, effective 7/1/2025.

This decision is one we’ve made with a deep sense of gratitude and reflection. When we founded Miller Wholesale Lumber Company in 1993, it was a shared dream—one rooted in hard work, family values, and the belief that a company could succeed by doing right by its people and its customers. We’ve been fortunate to watch that dream grow into a company we are immensely proud of, thanks to the dedication of an exceptional team and the loyalty of our clients and professional partners.

As we step away, we’re thrilled to share that the company will remain in the family and in very capable hands. Our son, Mathis Miller, will assume the role of President. He has spent years preparing for this moment, developing a deep understanding of our operations, leading with integrity, and carrying forward the culture that defines who we are.

Joining him in leadership is our son-in-law, Ryan McAllister who will serve as Vice President.  His financial expertise, strategic insight, and steady hand have already made a strong impact on the company, and we’re confident he will continue to be a key driver of our long-term success.

This transition has been planned thoughtfully and carefully. Over the past four years we have worked side by side to ensure a smooth and seamless handover. We will both remain available for guidance and support as needed, but we step back with complete trust in their leadership and vision.

To our dedicated team members, trusted partners, and valued clients — thank you. You have been an essential part of this journey. It has been the honor of our lives to lead this company, and we are excited to see it continue to thrive under the next generation of leadership.

With sincere appreciation and full hearts,

Glenn & Danette Miller
