A private memorial service will be held at a later date for the family. Hartman Jones Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.

Dalton was the son of Rosella Taylor Seago and Dalton Gilbert Seago, Sr. He was a member of West McComb Baptist Church. He was a Christian, an accomplished businessman, and a devoted family man. He was a beloved husband, father, and Grandaddy. His life was full of distinction, yet he was humble, kind, caring and generous to all who knew him. He was in the lumber manufacturing business and founded Seago Lumber Company. Dalton had a passion and work ethic from an early age that drove him throughout his life. He was a long-time deacon at East McComb Baptist Church and Bellevue Baptist Church in Memphis, TN. He remained faithful in ministry his whole life and served on various ministry boards for Moody Adams and Kim Wicks. He lived a long life full of love, laughter, and longevity until God decided his work here was done. He fought the good fight, he finished the race, and he kept the faith.

He is preceded in death by his parents and mother and father-in-law Blanch and Clarence Freeman, his sons Larry Seago and Bobby Seago, and grandsons Alan and Logan Terry.

He is survived by his wife Etta Vera of 75 years, daughter Lisa Henley (Mark), daughter-in-law Patti Seago and granddaughters Ann Seago Coney (Beau), Amy Seago Adams (Charles), Kerri Seago Sanders (Brian) and Katie Seago Temple (Podgey) and ten great grandchildren Cole Smith (Breanna), Avery Coney, Dock Seago Adams, Ann Allyse Adams, Taylor Gatlin, Lola Gatlin, Layne Gatlin, Georgia Temple, Hastings Temple and Davis Temple.
